- You have finite resources: by signing “yes” to projects, you’re signing “no” to others
- KPIs
- Measure the output and not simply the activity
- Good indicators are countable, and paired with other measurements such as time or quality
- “Leading Indicators” measure/evaluate input and predict output
- “Trend Indicators” measure output over a time period
